 Ten Minutes to Learn Texas Hold'em Poker

It can seem daunting to those who don't know much about Texas Hold'em Poker's rules. Contrary to what you may have heard, it's not difficult to learn how Texas Hold'em Poker works. This is how to learn Texas Hold'em Poker within 10 minutes.

First Step – Blinds

For this game, at least two people are required. Before any cards are drawn, or shown, at least two players must place some money in the "pot". These are called blinds'. One player places the small and big blinds, while the other place the big blind. The big blind is typically twice the size of the small blind. The two first players to sit left of the dealer button place the small blind and the big blind.

Each hand ends with the dealer button moving clockwise. This gives all players the chance to place their last bet.

Preflop: Second Step

In what is known as the 'preflopround', each player receives two cards. These cards are known as 'hole card'. After determining the winning cards of each player, they must then decide whether to call (or continue playing the game without increasing the bet), raise the bet (or increase the amount), or fold (or do not play in the round). Players who bet a certain amount must also bet the same amount or more if they wish to continue.

Flop is the third step

After all players have placed bets, the dealer flips three of the cards face up. This is known as the 'flop round'.

Players must use their two private cards as well as the three board cards in the flop to create the strongest winning hand according to the hand rankings. The round starts with the small blind player. They have the option to call or bet and can also fold. Next, the big blind player plays the same as the small blind, along with the others one by one. Each player can choose to fold or exit the round at any time.

Fourth Step – Turn

The next card on the board is drawn and is known as the "turn". Now that each player has six cards, they must create the best possible hand with two hole cards, three community cards, and then decide if they want the round to end. After the bets have been placed we move on to the next stage, known as the 'river. Learning How to Play Holdem Poker
