How to Play

Every player has to place an ante bet in order to begin playing. You also have the option of placing a bonus jackpot gamble.

Each player is dealt two cards, one face-down. These are the hole card cards.

To play your hand, you must bet exactly twice your ante. To put it another way, if you had a $5 ante and want to play, your bet must be exactly $10. If you decide to not play and fold, your ante wager is lost.

The dealer deals three cards face up in the middle of the table. This is also known by the flop. These cards are known as the community card, which means that all players can and will use them to complete their final five-card hand.

Players have the option of placing a second bet, but they can only place the same amount that the ante. So if the ante is $5, the bet will be $5. You can also check and not bet. It doesn't matter if you bet or not -- you can still play regardless.

The fourth community card is presented face-up. This is also known by the turn.

Players can either bet or make a check. Again, the amount of the bet is the same as that of the ante bet. This is the last chance for players bet. To continue playing, you don’t have to place any bets.

The fifth and last community card is dealt face up on the table. This is also known as the river.

The dealer brings out his/her cards and then shows what the best five card poke hand the house can make. It combines the dealer's hole cards with the community cards.

Every player is given a set of five cards. Each player turns over his hole cards to the dealer who will determine the best poker hand. A player can combine his five hole cards with five community cards to create the best hand of five cards.

Although dealers can pick the best hand for each player, you should be able tell which hand is your best. Poker is a game of skill.

The dealer determines whether the player's or dealer's hand are higher.

The higher the hand of the player, the house wins. The house pays 1-1 for all bets. In some cases, it will also take the ante.

Bonus Jackpot Wagers

Bonus jackpot wagers are where the dealer checks to determine if the two hole cards of a player have won a bonus. This bet is not dependent on the five-card poker hand and could win even if the player loses.

If a player has any pairs in the hole, it is usually a winning bonus hand. A-K and A–Q are other hole card combinations that often win bonuses. There are different payouts for each casino, so make sure to check at the table.

Tips

You should not play this game the same way you would Texas Hold'em. Because you are only playing the dealer you can play almost all of your cards.

Unconnected, unsuited lower cards, both lower than seven, are the only ones you should fold. Texas Hold Em Poker
